This is me swallowin’ my pride standin’ in front of you sayin’ I’m sorry for that night… And I go back to December all the time; it turns out freedom ain’t nothin’ but missin’ you, wishin’ I’d realized what I had when you were mine. I’d go back to December, turn around, and make it all right. I’d go back to December all the time…

Lilly Mae Millar | Age: 24 | Face Claim: Megan Fox | TAKEN
Before the Outbreak:
Lilly Mae Millar was born March 29th, 1987 in Dallas Texas she lived with her father who was a single parent since her mother abandoned them when she was two, though Lilly hardly remembers her mother her father always says that she looks just like her and comments on how pretty she is. When Lilly was twelve they moved to Georgia because her father had been offered a job working for some television company, though she protested at first not wanting to leave her friends and grandmother she eventually had no choice, packed her things, and moved.
It was of course hard for her to get used to change had they moved when she was much younger it probably wouldn’t have mattered much, but she was older and though she was beautiful and probably could have been captain of the cheer leading team. She chose to stay to herself and read or draw, her IQ was something to be rivaled at 3.98 GPA. She did have a small close group of friends that she was always around, they stayed in the library or in the classrooms instead of running around the halls like mental asylum escapees. Lilly wasn’t much of an introvert as she was the type that only spoke when she had something to say, or answered a question in class but she was always nice, always friendly to anyone who spoke to her. Her father was insanely proud of her when she graduated second in her class and received a full paid scholarship to study in Medical Science.
Lilly loved her father more than anything and chose to attend college in Georgia to remain close to him, she was just about four months away from getting her Bachelors when the outbreak occurred.
After the Outbreak:
Lilly had never been very strong she could defend herself if she really needed too, but she rarely had to. Though she did run track in both high school and college, she also ran for two hours every morning followed by two more hours of yoga had her body in shape for something just like this. Even though she wasn’t training for this very incident she had been prepared for it before she ever knew it, though she wanted to go back to Dallas to find her grandmother she felt like it would only lead to her own death and decided against it in the end.
With no other family to speak of she went back to her house and packed a bag with clothes, shoes, socks, duct tape, and a few other things that she knew she would end up needing in the end. Lilly even took a large tent that her father had kept stashed away in their garage for their many camping trips, the only problem? Lilly didn’t know how to hunt for food she couldn’t even track or kill anything because her father always did that, she never wanted to see him kill animals for the sake of them eating but knew he had to.
She actually lives in her tent high up on one of the mountains on the outskirts of Georgia, though there wasn’t much she was able to keep herself safe. It was hard to sleep though never knowing if you were going to live one day and die the next, though she craved companionship she tried to stay away from it because she feared emotional attachment for the sake of losing the person she cared about.
She never really settled with one group of people because she wasn’t sure that there were even any people left around, she came across a few but they were hostile and refused to help her. She got away with minor cuts and scrapes that she treated herself when she returned to her tent, when she was traveling through a long since abandoned town early in the morning she found a stray dog. It was a pit bull and the poor thing was close to death the kindness in her heart had her taking it back to her tent and tending to it, making sure that it was okay.
The dog stayed by her side after that and protected her; sleeping right by the entrance to her tent keen ears making sure that nothing was going to try and sneak up on her while she slept.
How has living through the apocalypse changed your character:
Living in a world like this one has put her on edge, though her mental status is still fairly strong losing her father and seeing her boyfriend slaughtered by another human? Shook her to the core. Lilly had never lived alone she had always had her father and later her boyfriend, living alone made her feel…worse sometimes but she knew she had to keep going her will to live was too strong to give up on, she hasn’t changed much from the person she once was.
Should someone stop her and if they need help? She would not hesitate to help them and send them on their way, she would even give them the shirt off her back if they needed it but she is weary enough to know when someone is lying or they are trying to take advantage of her. The hardships she has faced have turned her into a better person, or so she thinks they made her stronger and she will do whatever she can to survive in this hellish world all she wants is to restore some form of peace, and start rebuilding everything in time.
